With a 1700 Series Round Baler you can produce round bales that weigh 550 to 2100 pounds with low horsepower requirements.

With their patented open-throat design and vertical bale chamber, 1700 Series balers move hay directly from the pickup assembly into the chamber – without feed rolls, compression rolls or drum rollers to restrict hay flow or create wrapping problems.

Starting in the 2010 model year, the 5100 Series of round balers will become the 1700 Series. See Model Range below for model number conversion.

Open Throat Vertical Chamber: 1700 Series balers are designed to be simple and produce consistently solid bales, as well as operate on low tractor horsepower requirements.

Balanced Bale Tension: Model 1734 uses two arms for tension while the 1745, 1746 and 1756 use dual tensioning arms to efficiently make bales.

Overfill Protection: Models 1745, 1746 and 1756 utilize a driveline slip clutch for protection while the 1734 has a pickup declutcher.

Dual Tube Twine Arm: A single arm applies two twines at once, decreasing tying time.

Sure-Trac Crowned Drive Rollers: 1700 Series round balers feature crowned driver rolls for improved belt tracking.

Auto-Tie: The 1745 is optional with the AutoTie system, models 1746 and 1756 are standard with AutoTie.
