VRT and Fieldstar DGPS
As a grower, you can begin with your Fieldstar site-specific Variable Seed Rate Technology White planter, using other factors besides yield mapping to facilitate variable-rate planting/seeding. The 8400 Series features VRT as standard equipment on every model. The additional factors may include soil type, past seeding rate history, planting dates, nutrients, drainage, soil compaction, past weed stress areas and the many other issues that allow you to decide on the seeding rates for each area of the field. The infinitely adjustable seed rate controller provides immediate population changes from the comfort of the cab.
Fieldstar planter systems allow increasing or decreasing of rates in 2 percent increments while planting and automatically record those changes from the map-based plan to a “true” as-applied map. If required, you can easily switch to manual operation or default-seeding rate should an unforeseen condition occur.
Fieldstar is available on all White hydraulic-drive planters to improve crop management. |
